About Our Company + Team:
Not Your Sugar Mamas is a small but quickly growing company on a mission. NYSM was founded in 2011 as a superfood chocolate company- the chocolate bars were well-received and rapidly grew to be sold online and distributed nationwide (we're in all 50 states!). In 2016, NYSM launched their Organic Cafe in Vineyard Haven, MA making plant-based eating accessible to the community. Since then NYSM has continued to grow and expand the company and have no plans on stopping!
Though our company has grown in so many ways since 2011, our mission has always remained the same: to spread love, health and happiness, care for the planet, to make REAL, plant-based food accessible, and to inspire critical thinking about the food we eat.

Chef + Kitchen Manager (1 open position. 40+ hrs)
The Chef + Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all activity in the kitchen and delegating tasks.
Responsibilities to include:
- Managing the kitchen team: scheduling food production with staff, training kitchen team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, paying attention to quality control, address issues that arise on a case-by-case basis and communicating well, keeping the kitchen flow positive and timely
- Keeping food stocked: NYSM refrigerated items, bread, cookies, truffles, cafe food prep, juices, etc.
- Meetings with management (Ky + Jamie)
- Inventory reports
- Preparing delivery orders
- Working on new items with Ky
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Experience in food production + management is required
- Efficient work ethic
- Outgoing and self-motivated
- Passionate about plant-based living
- Organized and reliable
- Team player
Retail/Cafe Manager (1 open position. 30 hrs)
The Retail/Cafe Manager will be responsible for overseeing activity in the retail/cafe space. Responsibilities to include:
- Managing the retail team: scheduling retail staff + training retail staff
- Available to help in the cafe during the rushes
- Ensuring a positive, clean and safe work environment in the cafe
- Helping retail staff become more efficient in food preparation and food service
- Handle customer complaints on site
- 2x per week inventory reports for ordering
- Clear communication skills
Qualifications:
- Experience in management is required
- Efficient work ethic

Kitchen Staff
Responsibilities to include:
- Working in the kitchen helping to prepare the various items we produce
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy
- Working efficiently while maintaining quality of product
- Must have a positive attitude and be enthusiastic
- Outgoing and self-motivated
- Reliability is a must
- Passionate about plant-based living
