Spring - MV Wellness Retreat

We are so excited to announce a unique opportunity for connection, health, and self-care on the island of Martha's Vineyard. This is going to be an incredible experience that will resonate with you long after the weekend is over. This May 31st we are offering a 4-Day Wellness Immersion Weekend with Ky of Not Your Sugar Mamas and Lora of Yoga on the Vine.

Martha's Vineyard has long been frequented by artists, healers, and teachers. The island itself is an incredible place to be, and has it's own resonance of calm and peace.This is a residential immersion, so you will have the chance to absorb yourself completely in the lifestyle and learning, without having to make outside arrangements, or be in the throes of everyday life.

The meals will be Ky's incredible mastery of plant-based cooking, accessible, nutritious and delicious for all, no matter what kind of diet you have at home. There are no "shoulds" on this retreat, no morality or blame, only opportunities to learn, grow, and see what fits with your lifestyle. Similarly, there will be a regular schedule of yoga and meditation on offer, including discussions on how to incorporate mindfulness practices into everyday life. As for the classes, you can pick and choose what you would like to engage with. Classes offerings will include:

Plant-based Culinary Classes:

- Nut-based Cheese - quick cheeses like cashew parmesan and cheese sauces, sour creams, and more advanced like almond feta and ricotta

- Making Raw Chocolate - the world’s most antioxidant rich food (chocolate bars, truffles, smoothies, and drinks)

- Artisan Gluten Free Bread Making

- 5 Minute Lunches and 10 Minute Dinners

Yoga Classes:

- Daily Vinyasa and Yin offerings

- Daily meditation

- Building a Home Practice

The Vineyard Arts Project is a beautiful space with a gorgeous, light-filled studio, cozy bedrooms with a private bathroom in each, a large professional grade kitchen for cooking demos and plenty of shared and private space for gathering together or having alone time, as you wish

Ky and Lora

Ky is the co-founder of Not Your Sugar Mamas, a plant-based food empire on Martha's Vineyard that started with chocolate superfood creations,and has expanded to a thriving cafe, juice bar and prepared foods mecca spot for the island health-conscious. Ky began her career  working in International Consulting, supporting entrepreneurs in sustainable business models, and through that found her passion for nutrition.  In addition to now being a chef and holistic nutritionist certified by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Ky also leads courses on how to integrate plant-based nutrition into every kind of lifestyle. 

Lora is the owner of a prominent yoga studio and teacher training school on Martha's Vineyard. She has taught yoga and meditation for over a decade, leading domestic and international retreats, training athletes with major institutions like Amherst College and UMass, and publishing a book on Yin Yoga and Yoga for Athletes. In addition to over 800 hours of teacher training programs, she holds a degree in Holistic Health from UMass Amherst.
